In Match 19 of VIVO IPL 2019 played at  Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians ended the three-match winning streak of Sunrisers Hyderabad. * As it Happened:

Sunrisers Hyderabad Skipper Bhuvneshwar Kumar won the toss and elected to field first. While the host remains unchanged, Mumbai Indians made two changes by replacing Yuvraj Singh and Lasith Malinga in the place of Ishan Kishan and debutant Alzarri Joseph. As put into bat first Mumbai Indians got off to a shaky start as they lost skipper Rohit Sharma (11) and Suryakumar Yadav (7) in first six overs of the innings. Despite Rohit Sharma survived a close LBW review and was dropped in the first over by Siddarth Kaul didn’t manage to grab the opportunities and score big. He was dismissed by Mohammad Nabi while Surya Kumar Yadav was LBW by Sandeep Sharma. And to make the situation even worsen Mumbai Indians in-form opener Quinton de Kock (19) to departed early by Siddarth Kaul.

Mumbai Indians hardly got any flow in their innings there-after as their middle order get exposed. Krunal Pandya (6) and Ishan Kishan (17) returned to the pavilion in back to back overs and Mumbai Indians were gone to a less than average par score when they were decreased to 86/6 in the seventeenth over as Hardik Pandya (14) was dismissed by Rashid Khan. However thanks to Kieron Pollard who then took charge of proceedings and smashed an unbeaten 46 off 26 balls to help his team reach a respectable total of 136/7.

In the second innings chasing 137 runs for victory Sunrisers Hyderabad too got off a shaky start as they lost both their openers Jonny Bairstow and David Warner inside the powerplay for the first time in this season of VIVO IPL. The former was dismissed by Rahul Chahar in the fourth over of the game.  while David Warner was dismissed on the very first ball of IPL Debutant Alzarri Joseph in the fifth over.

However, after that, it was all Alzarri Joseph happenings as middle order of  Sunrisers Hyderabad to get exposed. After Warner’s wicket, Alzarri disposed of Vijay Shankar in his second over and came back to bowl the sixteenth where he got rid off Deepak Hooda and Rashid Khan off successive balls. A Hat-Trick would have been the great thing for the debutant yet Alzarri wrapped up the innings when he got the last two wickets of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Siddarth Kaul in the penultimate over. Alzarri Joseph ended his impressive spell with figures of 3.4-1-12-6 and leaves Sunrisers Hyderabad shellshocked.
